01

The problem

Fu Manchu Oriental is a dual-level venue at 44 Thomas Drive, Chevron Island: a restaurant and a cocktail bar under one roof.

The site had to sell the whole night out: the food, the bar and the room. And it had to give people a reason to book on any night of the week, not just host a menu PDF.

02

The build

The site is built around the reasons people book: the menus, the weekly specials, the functions space and the booking button.

01

Four menus, front and centre

Each menu gets its own card and its own link, so nobody has to open a PDF to see what’s on offer.

  • À la Carte
  • degustASIAN Set: five-course shared menus
  • Cocktails & Wine
  • Desserts
The Our Menus section: four cards for À la Carte, degustASIAN Set, Cocktails & Wine and Desserts, each with a View menu link.
The four menu cards stacked on a phone, each with a View menu link.

02

A reason to book, most nights

A weekly What’s On programme, and every night carries its own booking button.

03

Functions, with a way to enquire

Private dining and functions get their own section, with an enquiry path for groups.

  • Upstairs space for 50
  • Private dining room for 6
  • 2 menu formats
The private dining and events section: cards for birthdays, corporate functions, cocktail parties and exclusive venue hire, above figures for the upstairs space, private dining room and menu formats.

04

Same site, phone-sized

On a phone, the photography sits up top and Book a table is in the first screen.

Everything else a diner looks for before they commit to a table.
